Our Mission

Dharmik Australia’s goal is to help disadvantaged children in Nepal through sustainable development leading to their independence.

We aim to do this by:

  1. Seeking to improve living conditions In Nepal in a sustainable way and addressing the root causes of the problem to affect long term change.
  2. Operating with honesty & integrity.
  3. Fostering social responsibility, equality, excellence and independence.
  4. Ensuring children living in group homes have access to basic food, clothing and shelter, quality education, medical and dental treatment.
  5. Improving basic health outcomes with preventive treatment programs.
  6. Partnering with local Nepal NGOs who share our values and are established to implement similar objectives.
  7. Coaching local Nepal NGOs to raise more money for themselves.
  8. Training local Nepal NGOs to have continuously improving governance processes.
  9. Helping disadvantaged groups of children, women, and elderly creating genuine one to one links between our generous donor community and cost effective programs in Nepal.
  10. Attracting and retaining sponsors and donors in Australia and elsewhere.
  11. Complying with standards of governance, management, financial control and reporting according to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) code of conduct.
  12. Following a zero tolerance approach to child abuse and child pornography according to our child protection policy.
