Our Future
We have been setting up processes and consolidating our working relationships with our Nepali Parmer Organisations. Our processes are now solid, and we are raising awareness through fundraising. In the Thamel area of Nepal we have three office staff working under the umbrella of Dharmik Nepal. At CCRC we have five child care staff and we are responsible for all aspects of child care in that home. SAI home continues to be well run by its founders and we are helping them to become more independent. Over the next three years we have the following goals:-
2009
- ACFID membership.
- SAI home capacity building. This involves working with the SAI home founders so they can be more independent. We are teaching them computer and English language skills as well as helping them develop good governance practices.
- SAI Home Housing Project. Now that government officials have said the home is too small for the number of people occupying it, we will now try to buy land in 2010 and build the home in 2011. We will have a plan for the Nepal Government done during 2009.
- Body Shop funded disabled children’s life skills project started.
2010
- AusAid application submitted.
- BalMandir Project started.
- SAI home land purchase.
2011

- BalMandir Project promote voluntarism for 2011 as it is the ‘Visit Nepal Year’.
